Sexual Reproductive Health Rights

Rural Aid Foundation was received her first grant from INROADS through IPAS to implement a six-month project titled: Utilizing the harm reduction model to facilitate safe abortion testimonies and abortion storytelling to end abortion stigma in Uganda.

This was aimed at using the snowball methodology to bring together girls and young women from Makerere University, health workers and justice actors like the police to also share their experiences to share stories and experience on abortion stigma and discrimination among young women. We built their capacities on the use of the harm reduction model as a tool to facilitate abortion experience sharing while protecting them from the restrictive legal environment on abortion.
