Frank Ategeka

Co-Founder and Director

Borne and raised by a Rwandan refugee woman whose family settled in Kyangwali refugee settlement and later integrated into the Ugandan community; Frank is a public health, digital rights and monitoring and evaluation specialist with a masters in public health (Global Health) from the University of Manchester, UK; a post graduate diploma in project monitoring and a bachelors degree in computer engineering from Makerere university. He is was a Global Health Corps fellow (2018/2019) as well as a deputy president Uganda, Global Health Corps Alumni Community-part of the global health movement promoting health equity and social justice.Frank has over seven years’ experience serving refugees, asylum seekers, vulnerable rural communities and persons affected by conflicts.

Juliet Birungi

Finance and administration officer

Birungi Juliet holds a Bachelor of business Administration (-Accounting and finance option) from Makerere University Kampala. She holds professional certificate for Certified Public Accountants (CPA) by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda . In addition to the above, Juliet holds a Certificate in computerized Accounting and Audit Command Language . She has a working experience of four(5) years in finance accounting and management in non profit sector. She has led Rural Aid Foundation’s community economic empowerment through training communities in business management, financial and saving skills and village saving schemes

Mbabai Scovia

Program officer-Digital Rights

Mbabazi is a programs Officer for RAFO. She holds a diploma in computer science and training in sexual reproductive health and rights. She is passionate about the intersection of digital rights and access to health care services and women economic empowerment.

Najjumba Gertrude

Program Assistant -Community Engagement

Ms. Gertrude is the Fundraising and community Engagement officer with over 5 years experience in rural and community fundraising drives and mobilization. She holds a bachelors degree in business administration from Ndejje University in Uganda. She has a certificate and post graduate in project planning and management. She has worked with rural communities in resource mobilization and community service for vulnerable rural communities including refugee populations in different refugee settlements in Uganda. She has been engaged with Rural Aid Foundation starting as a volunteer in 2013 mobilizing and reaching out to high income and middle income earners in the local communities to support our work.

George Asiimwe

Advocacy and communications officer

George holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information technology and computing from Faculty of Science Kyambogo University in Uganda, a certificate in project planning and management. e holds a CISCO certificate in IT essentials that was specializing in Systems Administration. He was a Member Of The Mennaisian club of the Brothers of Christian Instruction, member of the ICT club. He was a 2020 edge fellow under Omprakash.

Maria Daphine

Program officerRefugees and migrants

Ms Maria Daphine is a social worker with over 5 years of experience in community work in area of health, digital rights and economic empowerment. She hold a degree in social work and her areas of interest include sexual reproductive health and Rights, Water and sanitation, Education, agriculture and livelihood programs. Daphine is passionate about refugees and migrant communities as well as vulnerable persons such as orphans, persons with disabilities, women and children.

Joselyne Katuhaise

Office support and Rural Women’s health information and skills center assistant

Joselyne is passionate about women’s sexual reproductive health issues and she supports the Rural women’s health information and skills center by providing day to day support to the center management committee as they undertake their daily activities. She also supports Rural Aid Foundation’s front desk activities.

Sanyu Constance

Rural women ambassador Coordinator-Mugarama sub county

Sanyu is a rural women coordinator in Mugarama sub county in charge of community mobilization and coordination of all women ambassadors for effective implementation of our community programmes in the sub county
