African Rural Women Health Information and skills center

With support from World Connect, RAFO constructed the ONLY Rural Women Health Information and skills center in Kibaale district and the entire Bunyoro sub region. The program aims to bridge the Rural Women Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) information gap and offer otehr livelihood skills for rural women. The center currently provides sexual reproductive health information and training for Adolescent girls and young women below 25 years, trains them in making reusable sanitary pads and tailoring skills. Each quarter of the year, the center trains 20 women and girls and 80 girls and women each year. The center also offers sexual reproductive health commodities including condoms to youth in the community. The women and girls are trained on SRHR rights and services including family planning, SGBV prevention, their economic rights, prevention of unsafe abortion and  maternal health. We hope to diversify the services offered at the center through establishing a range of women and girls empowerment programs
