With initial funding from Alert Youth fund, under our Research advocacy and partnership program, we conducted a project titled: Popularizing the Global Gag Rule and its impact on access to sexual reproductive health rights and services for youth in Uganda. For example, We conducted interviews with civil society organisations and documented the implications of the Global gag rule on access to sexual and reproductive health and rights in Uganda. We conducted a capacity building on the global gag rule for CSOs and held peaceful match against the global gag rule.
We developed a documentary with voices from civil society organisations, community based organisations and youth on the implications of the global gag rule. We also supported adolescent girls and young women to develop a petition on the implications of the global gag rule and delivered it to the chairperson of the health committee in the Ugandan parliament.
This petition was received by the chairperson of the health committee.
