Sharon Bright Amanya is a Ugandan Immunologist and Lecturer in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Lira University. She holds a MSc. degree in Immunology and Clinical Microbiology and a BSc. in Nursing from Makerere University, Kampala. She is passionate about infectious disease prevention and her ultimate goal is to make prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of infectious diseases more accurate, affordable and accessible in low-income settings. She was a Frederick Ebert Stiftung fellow in 2016 focusing on youths and women leadership.
